High School

Our lower school consists of Preschool and Kindergarten through Grade 6. Students ages 3-5 enroll in our Half Day program, which consists of a morning or afternoon class. In elementary school, we have 12 multi-age classrooms in which teachers create their own wonderful world of ideas and interaction. The age range in our elementary—five-to-twelve years old—is a wide world of intellectual and social development.

At Paideia, the middle school consists of seventh and eighth grades where students are supported as they explore their autonomy and encouraged to realize that learning is a lifelong adventure. Paideia’s approach to early adolescence is one that combines close and sustained contact and support from teachers and where students' independence, individual responsibility, and a range of choices are nurtured through experiential learning.

In our upper school, we provide an academically rigorous and collaborative environment for students to take risks in learning: science, mathematics, the humanities, the arts, and a modern language. Our faculty facilitates personal understanding to foster an environment where students identify their learning strengths and build a personal approach that allows them to be successful throughout high school and the stages that follow.

Paideia is the leading progressive school in the Southeast offering AP and post-AP curricula. In 2023, Paideia students received the highest number of Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of any private school in the state, had the second-highest number of National Merit Scholars in Georgia and were state champions in boys and girls Ultimate Frisbee and boys soccer. Paideia’s class of 2023 saw 120 graduates accepted into 181 colleges and universities.
